lon Musk has done it again.
As he previously did, Tesla Motors’s CEO announced on Twitter that reservations for the company’s low cost Model 3, will begin on March 31.
Musk said a $1,000 deposit is required in order to reserve a spot in the queue for the vehicle. Earlier today, Musk reiterated Tesla’s intent to begin deliveries of the smaller sedan late in 2017. Curious potential buyers will get their first look at the car on the same day Tesla will unveil it to the public. (No details about the event have been disclosed yet and it isn’t clear whether the company will show the whole vehicle). In particular, interested customers who live near by a Tesla store may have an edge on those who choose online booking. Musk’s tweet said that Tesla website will not take reservations until the following day: Model 3 reservations ($1000 deposit) will be accepted in Tesla stores since March 31 and online since April 1.
